Vehicles in German Town Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police Confirm

Authorities mentioned they were notified by a resident who discovered a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored fluid

Around 50 automobiles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Vehicles, exterior walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with swastikas, they reported in a official communication.

Police state they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a resident discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued liquid.

The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then located numerous other smeared cars and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the public display of Nazi symbols.

Police say initial examinations show the substance was likely human blood.

"There is still no indication as to its origin; authorities are presently not cognizant of any harm in relation with the event," they stated.

Municipal representatives announced they were working "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the residents for details.

An important official said the attack rendered him stunned and had to be solved rapidly.

"This act affects the center of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he stated on social media, referring to the death of nine victims by a gunman focusing on individuals of migrant background in five years prior.
